TIDEBORN Swim With Intention
We didn't start a swimwear brand. We started because a friend cried in a fitting room.
She was 40. Healthy. Beautiful. On vacation with her family in Florida — the kind of trip you plan for months. She'd spent three hours that morning trying on swimsuits in a department store. Every single one made her feel worse than the last.
She didn't get in the water that trip.
That moment stayed with us. Not because it was dramatic — but because it wasn't unusual. Because we'd heard it before. Because maybe you've lived a version of it yourself.
The problem was never your body.
It was an industry that spent decades designing swimwear around a single, narrow idea of what a woman should look like — and then selling that idea back to everyone else as a standard.
The result? Millions of women standing at the edge of the pool. Skipping the beach day. Wearing a t-shirt over their swimsuit. Sitting out.
We thought that was worth fixing.
So we built Tideborn from a different starting point.
Not from a trend board. Not from what sold well last season. From a single question: what does a woman actually need to feel good in the water?
Real answers. Real construction. Real sizing. Real women in our photos — no retouching, no professional models, no lighting tricks.
Every piece we make goes through the same test before it ships: would the friend who cried in that fitting room feel good in this? Would she get in the water?
If the answer is no, we start over.
